Ferrari anunciou os vencedores da 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest na sua sede em Marinello, Itália. O objectivo era desafiar estudantes de design para criarem um Ferrari Hypercar do futuro.

O Chairman da Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo, explica a razão pela existência desta competição:
